1. AD8505ARJZ-R7 Substitution Conclusion This part is not recommended as a direct substitute. The AD8505 is a general-purpose op-amp whose core architecture is fundamentally different from the zero-drift amplifier of the original part. This results in orders-of-magnitude differences in DC accuracy and noise performance. Specifically, the AD8505 features a typical input offset voltage of 500 µV (vs. 2 µV for the OPA333), which would introduce significantly larger system errors when amplifying small DC or low-frequency signals. Furthermore, its gain bandwidth product is only 95 kHz (vs. 350 kHz for the OPA333) and its slew rate is extremely low, indicating severely inadequate AC performance (bandwidth and response speed) for handling even moderately high-frequency or fast-changing signals. While it offers slight advantages in quiescent current and output drive capability, these do not compensate for its critical shortcomings in the core metrics required for a precision amplifier.
2. ISL28133FHZ-T7A Substitution Conclusion This is a viable and performance-equivalent direct replacement. The ISL28133 shares the same zero-drift amplifier architecture as the original OPA333. Its key DC precision parameter, input offset voltage, is identical (2 µV), ensuring the same level of signal measurement accuracy. Differences include a slightly higher gain bandwidth product (400 kHz vs. 350 kHz) and slew rate (0.2 V/µs vs. 0.16 V/µs), providing a marginal advantage or at least parity in dynamic performance. Its input bias current is superior (30 pA vs. 70 pA), making it more suitable for high-impedance signal sources. Although there are minor differences in output current and quiescent current specifications, these have no practical impact in the vast majority of applications. The devices are fully compatible in package and supply voltage range, making the ISL28133 a pin-for-pin, high-performance substitute.
