1. TS522IDT Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not recommended. The TS522IDT is an audio amplifier whose key parameters differ fundamentally from those of the original general-purpose op-amp, the MAX412BCSA+. While it offers a wider output current and supply voltage range and is automotive-qualified, its input bias current (250 nA vs. 80 nA) and input offset voltage (850 µV vs. 120 µV) are significantly worse. This results in far inferior DC precision and small-signal processing capability compared to the original part. Furthermore, its gain-bandwidth product (15 MHz vs. 28 MHz) is lower, indicating weaker high-frequency small-signal amplification. The TS522IDT is only suitable for audio or automotive applications where precision and bandwidth are not critical. It cannot fulfill the general-purpose, precision signal conditioning tasks for which the original part may have been intended.
2. AD8058ARZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
Substitution can be considered in specific high-speed applications but is not a general-purpose replacement. The AD8058ARZ-REEL7 is an ultra-high-speed voltage feedback amplifier. Its slew rate (1150 V/µs) and bandwidth (325 MHz) exceed those of the original part by orders of magnitude, delivering exceptional performance for high-frequency, fast-changing signals. This high performance comes at the cost of higher power consumption (14 mA vs. 2.5 mA per channel), worse DC precision (input offset voltage of 1 mV vs. 120 µV), and a narrower supply voltage range (3V to 12V). It is only suitable for applications where the original design specifically demands extreme speed and can tolerate higher power consumption and lower precision, such as video driving. For the typical general-purpose, medium-speed, moderate-precision applications of the original part, direct substitution would lead to unnecessary increases in power draw and a reduction in accuracy.
