1. TL431ACLPG Substitution Conclusion
The TL431ACLPG can directly replace the LM431ACZ, though attention must be paid to differences in output voltage and accuracy. The nominal output voltage of the TL431ACLPG is 2.495V (slightly lower than the 2.5V of the LM431ACZ), with improved accuracy of ±1% (compared to the original ±2%). Both devices are compatible in terms of temperature coefficient, output current, and package (TO-92-3). The slight output voltage deviation is negligible in most circuits; however, if the design strictly relies on a 2.500V reference (such as for a high-precision ADC reference), system error should be verified. The improved accuracy does not negatively impact circuit stability and may in fact enhance performance.
2. TL431BILP Substitution Conclusion
The TL431BILP is a viable substitute, but its application context requires careful evaluation. Its output voltage is also 2.495V, but accuracy is significantly improved to ±0.4%, while the package and electrical parameters (temperature coefficient, current capability) remain consistent with the original part. The higher accuracy makes it suitable for circuits with stringent reference voltage tolerance requirements (such as precision power supplies or sensing circuits). However, if the original design only requires ±2% accuracy, substitution may lead to unnecessary cost increase. The minor output voltage offset should also be calibrated in precision applications.
