1. AD8072JRZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not recommended. Although the package and supply voltage range are compatible, the key dynamic performance metrics of the AD8072 are significantly inferior to those of the original part: its -3dB bandwidth (100 MHz) and slew rate (500 V/µs) are only one-fifth and one-eighth of the EL5263’s, respectively. This results in severely inadequate bandwidth and response speed when processing high-frequency or fast-changing signals, making it unsuitable for the original design’s high-frequency application scenarios. Additionally, its output drive capability (30 mA) is notably lower, which may cause signal amplitude attenuation or distortion when driving the same load.
2. AD8012ARZ Substitution Conclusion
Recommended as a high-performance alternative, with minor differences to note. The AD8012 closely matches the EL5263 in core performance parameters: its -3dB bandwidth (350 MHz) and slew rate (2250 V/µs), though slightly lower, remain within the same order of magnitude, ensuring adequate performance for most high-speed applications. Its output current capability (125 mA) is stronger, and its lower supply voltage limit (3V) offers greater design flexibility. The main difference lies in its gain-bandwidth product of 75 MHz, implying that its usable bandwidth under higher closed-loop gains may not match that of the original part. Therefore, when used in high-gain amplifier circuits, particular attention should be paid to verifying that the bandwidth meets requirements.
