As a substitute, the AD8510ARZ-REEL offers advantages over the original part in several key parameters but exhibits a significant gap in DC accuracy. It employs a J-FET input stage, resulting in an input bias current (25 pA) substantially lower than the original (15 nA). This significantly reduces input current error in applications such as high-impedance sensor signal conditioning. Additionally, it features a higher slew rate (20 V/µs) and a wider supply range (9–36 V), providing superior dynamic response and power supply adaptability. However, its input offset voltage (100 µV) is over three times that of the original part (30 µV), which directly degrades DC signal accuracy, and its gain-bandwidth product (8 MHz) is slightly lower. The AD8510 can serve as a replacement in applications where DC accuracy is not critical but high input impedance or faster transient response is required.
