Original Part
1. 6N135 Substitution Conclusion
The 6N135 is compatible with the HCPL-4562060 in package and basic functionality, but exhibits significant differences in key parameters: its isolation voltage is only 2500Vrms (lower than the original 3750Vrms), its CTR range is lower (7%–50% @16mA), and its typical forward voltage is slightly higher (1.45V). If the original design relies on high isolation withstand voltage, direct substitution may pose electrical safety risks. Additionally, the lower minimum CTR could result in insufficient drive capability, requiring re-evaluation of whether the input current meets the output load requirements. It is only suitable for applications where the isolation voltage requirement is ≤2500Vrms and there is tolerance for lower CTR margin.
2. 6N136 Substitution Conclusion
The 6N136 is structurally similar to the 6N135, with the core difference being a higher CTR lower limit (19%–50% @16mA). However, it still shares the issues of insufficient isolation voltage (2500Vrms) and a slightly higher forward voltage. The higher minimum CTR provides better drive capability than the 6N135, making it closer to typical application needs, but the reduced isolation voltage remains the primary limitation. If the original system has sufficient isolation margin (actual operating voltage well below 2500Vrms) and the circuit can accommodate the slightly higher VF, the 6N136 can be considered as a derated alternative, though insulation safety standards must still be strictly evaluated.
