1. INA145UA/2K5 Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not feasible. The INA145UA/2K5 is a differential amplifier; however, its bandwidth (a -3dB bandwidth of only 500 kHz) and slew rate (0.45 V/µs) are significantly lower than those of the LT1220CS8 (45 MHz gain-bandwidth product, 250 V/µs slew rate). Consequently, it cannot handle high-frequency or fast-slewing signals and is only suitable for differential applications such as low-frequency sensor conditioning. Additionally, its quiescent current (570 µA) is notably lower, offering a clear power advantage, but its output current capability (15 mA) is also lower, resulting in weaker drive strength. Unless the application involves only low-frequency differential signals and does not require high-speed response, this device cannot meet the high-frequency performance requirements of the original part.
2. THS4051CDR Substitution Conclusion
Substitution is possible under specific conditions, but precision limitations must be considered. The THS4051CDR offers comparable bandwidth (70 MHz -3dB bandwidth) and slew rate (240 V/µs) to the LT1220CS8, providing high-speed signal processing capability. It also features a higher output current (100 mA), delivering superior drive strength. However, its input offset voltage (2.5 mV) is substantially higher than that of the LT1220CS8 (500 µV), and its input bias current (2.5 µA) is also larger. These characteristics may introduce significant error in applications demanding high DC precision, such as precision amplification or sensor signal conditioning. If the application prioritizes high speed and high output current over DC accuracy, the THS4051CDR can serve as a substitute.
