1. SI8719BC-A-IS Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not viable. While it offers superior isolation withstand voltage (3750Vrms vs. 2500Vrms), common-mode transient immunity (35kV/µs vs. 25kV/µs), and a wider supply voltage range (2.5V to 5.5V), its critical limitation lies in the data rate. At 15Mbps, it is only one-tenth that of the Original Part (150Mbps). Furthermore, its propagation delay (50ns) and pulse width distortion (25ns) are significantly worse than the Original Part's specifications (16ns and 1ns, respectively). This device is unsuitable for high-speed signal transmission. Its markedly degraded signal timing performance would introduce severe errors in circuits requiring fast response or precise timing. Therefore, it is only applicable in scenarios with extremely low-speed requirements.
2. SI8720BC-A-IS Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not feasible. Its parameters are identical to those of the SI8719BC-A-IS, leading to the same conclusion: although advantageous in isolation and power performance metrics, its extremely low data rate (15Mbps) and poor timing characteristics (50ns delay, 25ns distortion) prevent it from meeting the high-speed channel requirements of the Original Part. Substituting with this part would severely degrade system communication bandwidth and significantly increase signal latency. It cannot achieve functional equivalence unless the application has absolutely no requirement for signal speed.
