1. LMV721M5X/NOPB Substitution Conclusion
This part is an excellent direct replacement. It matches the original LMV721IDCKR in all key electrical parameters—bandwidth, slew rate, offset voltage, and bias current—while offering a wider supply voltage range (2.2V to 5.5V), making it more compatible in systems operating up to 5.5V. The main difference is the package change from SC70-5 to the slightly larger SOT23-5, which requires a bit more PCB area. However, the pinout and functionality remain identical, so circuit performance is unaffected. Replacement is straightforward by adjusting the PCB layout to the new footprint.
2. AD8691AKSZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
This part is a conditional substitute and requires careful evaluation based on the application. While it shares the same bandwidth, rail-to-rail output, and SC70-5 package with the original, there are several key differences: its input offset voltage (400µV) is five times higher than the original’s 80µV, which can introduce larger output errors in high-DC-precision amplification circuits; its minimum supply voltage is 2.7V (versus 2.2V for the original), preventing operation in single-supply systems below 2.7V; and its input bias current (0.2pA) is extremely low—nine orders of magnitude lower than the original’s 260nA. This makes bias current error negligible when interfacing with high-output-impedance sensors such as photodiodes or pH electrodes, which is the primary advantage of this device. It may be considered for replacement in 5V systems focused on high-impedance signal processing where DC precision is not critical, but it is unsuitable for high-precision or low-voltage applications.
