1. ALD2732SAL Substitution Conclusion
While the ALD2732SAL is pin-compatible (8-SOIC) and functionally equivalent in basic operation (dual rail-to-rail output) to the OPA2704UA/2K5G4, allowing direct drop-in replacement, significant performance differences exist. Its input offset voltage (2 mV) is an order of magnitude higher than the original part (160 µV), substantially degrading DC accuracy and potentially introducing signal conditioning errors. The gain bandwidth product (1.5 MHz) and slew rate (1.9 V/µs) are both lower than the original specifications (3 MHz and 3 V/µs), limiting dynamic response speed and usable bandwidth. Additionally, the input bias current (10 pA) is higher, and the upper supply voltage limit (10 V) is slightly lower. This substitute is only suitable for low-frequency or non-precision applications with relaxed requirements for accuracy, speed, and power supply. If the original design relies on high precision or faster signal processing, this substitution is not viable.
