1. AD9632ARZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
Not feasible. While its package and supply voltage range are compatible, and its slew rate (1500 V/µs) is significantly higher than that of the original part (295 V/µs), the substantial discrepancy in input precision is the critical limitation: its input bias current (2 µA) is one million times greater than that of the original (2 pA), and its input offset voltage (2 mV) is eight times higher than the original (250 µV). The AD9632 would introduce substantial DC error and temperature drift, completely undermining the core value of the original part as a high-precision, high-impedance JFET-input amplifier. It may only be suitable for purely high-speed AC applications where input error is of minimal concern.
2. AD8048ARZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
Conditionally feasible. This part is compatible with the original in package and supply voltage range, and offers a higher slew rate (1000 V/µs) and lower quiescent current (5.9 mA vs. 14 mA). The trade-off lies in input precision: its input bias current (1 µA) is hundreds of thousands of times higher than that of the original (2 pA), and its input offset voltage (1 mV) is four times that of the original. After substitution, the circuit’s DC operating point and accuracy would degrade noticeably. Therefore, it is only suitable for high-speed signal processing, video, or ADC buffering applications where AC performance is paramount and input error tolerance is high. It cannot be directly used in precision sensing, sample-and-hold, or other applications requiring high impedance and low bias current.
