1. AS358MTR-G1 Substitution Conclusion
The AS358MTR-G1 is not recommended as a direct substitute for the RC4558DRG4, primarily due to significant differences in key performance parameters. The input offset voltage of the AS358MTR-G1 (2 mV) is substantially higher than that of the RC4558DRG4 (500 µV), which may introduce considerable error in applications requiring high DC accuracy, such as sensor signal amplification. Furthermore, its slew rate and gain-bandwidth product are unspecified, meaning its dynamic performance—including response speed and frequency response—may not match that of the RC4558DRG4 (1.7 V/µs, 3 MHz).
While the AS358MTR-G1 offers advantages in quiescent current (700 µA vs. 2.5 mA) and output drive capability (40 mA vs. 10 mA), along with a wider supply voltage range (3–36 V), its core deficiencies in precision and dynamic characteristics limit its suitability. It may only be appropriate for general-purpose, low-speed, high-load applications where offset voltage is not critical. Consequently, it cannot fully replace the original part across all intended application scenarios.
