1. TL082CPT Substitution Conclusion
The TL082CPT is not suitable as a direct replacement for the RC4560IPW. Although both share the same package and are dual operational amplifiers, their core specifications differ significantly: The TL082CPT is a J-FET input amplifier with an input offset voltage as high as 3 mV (60 times that of the RC4560). This can introduce substantial DC offset in audio applications, potentially causing output distortion or saturation. Its gain-bandwidth product is only 4 MHz (compared to 15 MHz for the RC4560), limiting fidelity for high-frequency signals. Furthermore, its minimum operating voltage is 6 V (while the RC4560 can operate down to 4 V), making it incompatible with low-voltage single-supply systems. Although its extremely low input bias current (20 pA) and higher slew rate (16 V/µs) are advantageous for high-speed, high-impedance sensor circuits, these benefits do not compensate for its deficiencies in precision and bandwidth in audio amplification scenarios.
2. TL082IPT Substitution Conclusion
The TL082IPT shares identical key parameters with the TL082CPT (with possible variations only in production lot or test standards) and is therefore equally unsuitable for replacing the RC4560IPW. The technical discrepancies and their impacts relative to the RC4560 are the same as above: Its high input offset voltage (3 mV) will severely affect the DC accuracy of audio circuits; its lower gain-bandwidth product (4 MHz) may lead to attenuation of high-frequency audio signals; and its higher minimum operating voltage (6 V) restricts power supply compatibility. Although it carries AEC-Q100 automotive qualification, making it suitable for automotive electronic environments, this does not offset its performance mismatch in audio applications. If substitution is forced, a complete re-evaluation of the circuit's DC operating point, frequency response, and power supply configuration is required.
