1. TL034ACD Substitution Conclusion
The TL034ACD offers superior core parameters compared to the original part, but key differences introduce risks in a direct substitution. Specifically, the TL034ACD provides better input performance (input bias current of 2pA vs. 30pA, input offset voltage of 580µV vs. 2mV) and a higher slew rate (5.1V/µs vs. 3.5V/µs), making it more suitable for high-precision, high-speed signal processing applications. However, its quiescent current is significantly higher at 870µA (for all four channels), over four times that of the original part (200µA). This will noticeably increase system power consumption and may lead to thermal issues. Furthermore, its supply voltage range (10–30V) is narrower than the original’s (6–36V). If the original design relies on a wider or lower supply voltage—such as a single 6V supply or operation above 30V—the TL034ACD will not function. Substitution is only recommended in high-precision applications where the supply is strictly within 10–30V and the increased power dissipation is acceptable; otherwise, it is not advised.
2. TL064BCDR Substitution Conclusion
The TL064BCDR is a highly viable direct replacement. Its key AC performance (slew rate 3.5V/µs, gain-bandwidth product 1MHz) and DC input characteristics (input bias current 30pA, offset voltage 2mV) are identical to the original ST TL064BIDT, and the package is compatible. The only difference is its supply voltage range: 10–30V versus the original’s 6–36V. If the original design operates within the 10–30V range—such as in common dual-supply applications from ±5V to ±15V—the TL064BCDR can be substituted seamlessly with no performance degradation. However, if the system relies on a supply voltage below 10V or above 30V, this part will not be suitable, and the power supply design must be re-evaluated.
