1. LM158DT Substitution Conclusion
The LM158DT is not suitable as a direct replacement for the TL062ACPSR, primarily due to significant differences in key parameters. The input bias current of the LM158DT is 20 nA, which is substantially higher than the 30 pA of the TL062. This can lead to considerable input error and signal distortion in high-impedance signal source or precision amplification applications. Its slew rate is only 0.6 V/µs, lower than the 3.5 V/µs of the TL062, which will limit large-signal processing speed and degrade high-frequency or transient response performance. Furthermore, its package width of 3.90 mm is incompatible with the 5.30 mm width of the TL062, requiring PCB modifications. Although the LM158DT offers advantages such as a wider supply voltage range (3 V to 30 V), higher output current (40 mA), and automotive-grade qualification, these benefits cannot compensate for its shortcomings in input characteristics and speed. Therefore, substitution is not feasible in circuits demanding low input current and high-speed response.
2. BA3404F-E2 Substitution Conclusion
The BA3404F-E2 is also not recommended as a replacement for the TL062ACPSR. The core discrepancy lies in its input bias current, which is as high as 70 nA—far exceeding the 30 pA of the TL062. This will introduce significant DC offset and noise in high-impedance applications, reducing precision. Its slew rate is 1.2 V/µs, which, while higher than that of the LM158DT, still falls short of the TL062, potentially causing signal processing delays and bandwidth limitations. The package width of 4.40 mm does not match the original device, necessitating hardware adaptation. Although the BA3404F-E2 features a wider supply voltage range (4 V to 36 V), relatively high output current (30 mA), and a push-pull output structure that is beneficial for driving capacitive loads, these characteristics cannot offset its inferior input performance. Consequently, it is unsuitable for JFET amplifier circuits that are sensitive to input impedance and speed.
