1. AD847JRZ-REEL Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended. The AD847JRZ-REEL and TLE2071AIDR differ fundamentally in key characteristics. First, the amplifier types are different. The AD847 features a standard bipolar input stage, with an input bias current (3.3 µA) significantly higher than the J-FET input of the TLE2071 (20 pA). In applications requiring very high input impedance and extremely low input current—such as photodetection or precision integrator circuits—the AD847 would introduce unacceptable error. Second, the supply voltage ranges differ. The minimum operating voltage for the AD847 (9V) is notably higher than that of the TLE2071 (4.5V), preventing its use in single-supply +5V or lower-voltage systems. Although the AD847 offers substantial advantages in bandwidth (50 MHz) and slew rate (300 V/µs), this comes at the cost of higher quiescent current (5.3 mA vs. 1.7 mA). Substitution should only be considered in circuits that do not rely on ultra-low input current, where the supply voltage is sufficient, and where higher speed is required. In such cases, a thorough re-evaluation of circuit stability and performance is mandatory.
2. AD847JRZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion The conclusion is identical to that for the AD847JRZ-REEL: direct substitution is not advised. The AD847JRZ-REEL7 and AD847JRZ-REEL are completely equivalent in electrical parameters and package. The different suffixes (-REEL vs. -REEL7) denote only reel packaging specifications or order codes and do not affect device performance. Consequently, it shares the same core discrepancies with the original TLE2071AIDR part: the input structure shifts from J-FET to bipolar, increasing input bias current by five orders of magnitude and rendering it unsuitable for microcurrent applications. Its higher minimum operating voltage requirement also restricts use in low-voltage scenarios. The speed advantage of the AD847 family offers substitution value only in specific applications with stringent speed requirements and compatible system conditions (supply voltage, input signal levels). It is not a "drop-in" replacement.
