1. LT1355CS8TRPBF Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not recommended. While the package is compatible and key specifications such as slew rate (400V/µs), gain bandwidth product (12MHz), and supply voltage range (5-30V) show some overlap, the fundamental amplifier architecture has shifted from J-FET to voltage feedback. This results in an input bias current (80nA) approximately 4000 times higher than that of the original part (20pA). Consequently, this substitute is unsuitable for typical JFET op-amp applications that are critically sensitive to input current, such as high-impedance signal sources, precision integrators, and sample-and-hold circuits. Its use would introduce unacceptable error.
2. AD8620BRZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
Within its allowable supply voltage range, this part serves as an excellent performance upgrade. It retains the J-FET architecture of the original, maintaining an exceptionally low input bias current (3pA), while offering superior performance across key parameters: lower input offset voltage (45µV), higher gain bandwidth product (25MHz), and higher slew rate (60V/µs). The primary limitation is its narrower supply voltage range (10-26V) compared to the original (4.5-38V). Therefore, it is not suitable for applications requiring a single 5V supply or a wide supply range exceeding 26V. However, within its specified voltage range, it represents a nearly perfect upgrade.
