1. TSV358AIDT Substitution Conclusion The TSV358AIDT can directly replace the AD8646ARZ in several basic parameters (dual‑channel, rail‑to‑rail output, SOIC‑8 package, and a wider supply range). However, there is a significant performance gap in key specifications: its gain‑bandwidth product (1.4 MHz vs. 24 MHz) and slew rate (0.6 V/µs vs. 11 V/µs) are far lower than those of the original part. Consequently, it is completely unsuitable for high‑frequency signals or fast‑slewing waveforms and is limited to low‑frequency or DC applications. Moreover, its input bias current (70 nA vs. 0.3 pA) is orders of magnitude higher, which will introduce non‑negligible errors in circuits with high‑impedance signal sources. Its advantages lie in lower quiescent current (500 µA vs. 3 mA) and automotive‑grade reliability (AEC‑Q100). Therefore, substitution is recommended only in non‑critical applications where speed and precision are extremely low priority, but power consumption and long‑term durability are key concerns.
2. TSV612AIDT Substitution Conclusion As an ultra‑low‑power CMOS operational amplifier, the TSV612AIDT has very limited substitution potential. Its gain‑bandwidth product (120 kHz) and slew rate (0.04 V/µs) are extremely low, restricting it to near‑DC or very low‑frequency signals. The input offset voltage (800 µV) is slightly higher than that of the original part, and the output drive capability (63 mA) is also modest. Its primary advantage is an exceptionally low supply current (10.5 µA), making it suitable for battery‑powered, power‑sensitive applications. However, in terms of performance, it belongs to a completely different category from the high‑speed, precision AD8646ARZ. It can only be used in applications where speed is irrelevant, micro‑power operation is the top priority, and some loss of accuracy can be tolerated—such as low‑speed sensor monitoring. In most situations requiring typical amplifier performance, it is not a viable replacement.
