1. AS358MTR-E1 Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended. The AS358MTR-E1 is a general-purpose dual operational amplifier. While it shares the same package and maximum supply voltage rating as the TL082IDRQ1, its core architecture (standard BJT input) and key specifications differ significantly from the original JFET-input op-amp. The most critical distinction is the input bias current (20nA vs. 30pA), resulting in AS358's input impedance being nearly three orders of magnitude lower. In circuits requiring high-impedance inputs, such as sensor interfaces, precision integrators, or sample-and-hold stages, this will lead to substantial signal attenuation and error. Furthermore, its unspecified slew rate and gain-bandwidth product are typically far inferior to those of the TL082, severely degrading dynamic response (signal processing speed and bandwidth). The most notable technical disparities again lie in its high input bias current (20nA) and unspecified dynamic performance (slew rate and bandwidth). This directly disqualifies it for any application relying on the JFET input's low bias current characteristic, as it would introduce unacceptable DC errors and limit circuit bandwidth. Additionally, the original part carries AEC-Q100 automotive-grade qualification, which the AS358 series lacks. This constitutes a qualification barrier for automotive or high-reliability industrial applications. Substitution is only conceivable if the application demands extremely low-frequency, non-precision amplification with no sensitivity to input impedance. Even then, a thorough re-evaluation of circuit performance and reliability is mandatory.
