1. LMV358IDT Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not feasible due to critical electrical parameter incompatibility. While the LMV358IDT is a dual-channel rail-to-rail output amplifier with a similar package, its core difference lies in the use of a standard (BJT-input) process rather than CMOS. This results in an input bias current (16 nA) that is four orders of magnitude higher than the original part's CMOS process (1 pA). In applications involving high-impedance signal sources or precision integration, this will generate non-negligible input error current and offset voltage, severely degrading accuracy. Furthermore, its minimum operating voltage is 2.7V, which is higher than the original part's 1.8V, rendering it unusable if the original system operates within the 1.8V to 2.7V range. Its advantages include higher output drive capability (160mA) and bandwidth (1.3 MHz), but these cannot compensate for the fundamental mismatch in low-voltage, high-input-impedance application scenarios.
2. LMV358QD Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not viable, as key performance metrics exhibit significant discrepancies. Similar to the LMV358IDT, the LMV358QD is also a standard-process amplifier. Its input bias current (15 nA) is substantially larger than the original part's (1 pA), completely forfeiting the core advantage of CMOS amplifiers in micro-current signal processing. Its minimum operating voltage is also 2.7V, failing to cover the original part's low-voltage range down to 1.8V. Although its slew rate (1V/µs) is higher, its input offset voltage (1.7 mV) is inferior to the original part's (1 mV). It is unsuitable for precision or low-power circuits with stringent requirements for input bias current and lower operating voltage limits. It may only be considered for substitution evaluation in general-purpose applications where these parameters are not critical and the operating voltage is above 2.7V.
