This part is not suitable as a direct replacement for the LM7322. The core differences lie in its extremely low bandwidth (786 kHz vs. 20 MHz) and slew rate (0.4V/µs vs. 18V/µs), rendering it completely incapable of handling the mid-to-high frequency signals or fast transients that the original part can manage. Its dynamic performance is severely inadequate. Furthermore, its output drive capability (10 mA vs. 100 mA) is an order of magnitude weaker, making it unable to drive equivalent loads. While it offers significantly superior DC precision metrics such as input bias current (3 nA) and offset voltage (35 µV) compared to the original, along with very low quiescent current, these advantages do not compensate for the lack of core dynamic performance expected from a general-purpose op-amp. Therefore, it is only suitable for ultra-low-power, precision DC applications where speed is not a requirement.
2. ADA4084-2ARMZ Substitution Conclusion
This part can be considered a functionally compatible but performance-degraded alternative with specific characteristics. However, the specific application requirements must be evaluated. Its bandwidth (15.9 MHz) and slew rate (4.6V/µs) are approximately 3/4 and 1/4 of the original's, respectively. This will result in some loss of high-frequency or large-signal response speed, potentially making it unsuitable for applications with stringent rate requirements. Its output drive current (30 mA vs. 100 mA) is also only 30% of the original's, indicating weaker capability to drive heavy loads. On the positive side, it offers better precision in terms of input bias current (140 nA vs. 1.1 µA) and offset voltage (60 µV vs. 700 µV), along with lower quiescent power consumption. If the application does not demand ultimate speed and maximum output current, but values better DC accuracy and slightly lower power consumption while accepting reduced performance margin, then it can serve as a valid substitute.
