1. LM833DR2G Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended. The LM833 is an operational amplifier optimized for audio applications, and its key performance parameters differ from the original LT1469 by orders of magnitude. Its gain-bandwidth product (15 MHz vs. 200 MHz) and slew rate (7V/µs vs. 30V/µs) are significantly lower than those of the LT1469, rendering it completely incapable of handling high-frequency or fast-changing signals. This would lead to severe system bandwidth degradation and dynamic response distortion. Furthermore, its input bias current (300 nA vs. 3 nA) and input offset voltage (300 µV vs. 50 µV) are one to two orders of magnitude higher, indicating significantly degraded performance in DC precision, low-noise, and small-signal processing. Substitution may only be considered in non-critical, low-frequency circuits (such as audio post-stage buffering) with extremely low requirements for bandwidth, speed, and precision, but a thorough re-evaluation of overall system performance is mandatory.
2. MC33078DR2G Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not recommended, but it can be evaluated as an alternative for low-frequency scenarios. As a general-purpose op-amp, the MC33078's bandwidth (16 MHz) and slew rate (7V/µs) are also far lower than those of the LT1469 (200 MHz, 30V/µs), making it unsuitable for any high-frequency or high-speed signal processing tasks. Its input offset voltage (150 µV) is three times that of the original part, and its input bias current (300 nA) is 100 times higher. Performance will be noticeably degraded in applications requiring high DC precision, high-impedance sensing, or low-noise amplification. It does offer a wider supply voltage range and slightly stronger output drive capability. Substitution may only be considered in general-purpose amplification, filtering, or buffering circuits where signal frequencies are well below 1 MHz and precision requirements are not stringent, and only after rigorous circuit re-verification.
