1. MC34072DR2G Substitution Conclusion
In most applications demanding high performance, the MC34072DR2G cannot directly replace the LT1469CS8-2PBF. It may only be considered as a downgraded substitute in extremely low-frequency or DC applications where speed and precision requirements are minimal, but a wider supply voltage range or lower power consumption is needed. The key differences are as follows: The MC34072's gain-bandwidth product (4.5 MHz) is only about 2% of the original part's (200 MHz), and its slew rate (13 V/µs) is approximately 43%. Its ability to handle high-frequency signals is severely inadequate, rendering it unsuitable for video, high-speed data acquisition, RF, or any scenario requiring fast settling and wide bandwidth. Furthermore, its input offset voltage (1 mV) is 20 times higher than the original part's (50 µV), and its input bias current (100 nA) is over 30 times greater. This will lead to a significant degradation in DC accuracy and the precision of signal amplification or processing, potentially introducing unacceptable errors.
2. LM258DG4 Substitution Conclusion
The LM258DG4 is entirely unsuitable for replacing the LT1469CS8-2PBF. It might only be considered in simple applications involving pure DC or very low-frequency signals (e.g., below 10 kHz), where cost and power consumption are critical and performance requirements are non-existent, constituting an extreme downgrade. Its core performance parameters differ from the original part by orders of magnitude: its gain-bandwidth product (1.1 MHz) is a mere 0.55% of the original, and its slew rate (0.3 V/µs) is as low as 1%. It is completely incapable of responding to any mid-to-high frequency signals, which would cause severe waveform distortion, limiting its use to slowly varying DC signal conditioning. Its input offset voltage (3 mV) is 60 times higher than the original part's. In precision amplification, comparison, or sensor signal conditioning circuits, it would introduce substantial inherent errors, failing to meet even the most basic accuracy requirements in circuit design.
