1. LM258DRG3 Substitution Conclusion
The LM258DRG3 cannot directly substitute the original part, LT1469CS8-2TRPBF. While both are dual-channel, general-purpose op-amps with compatible packages, their key performance parameters differ by orders of magnitude. The LT1469's gain-bandwidth product (200 MHz) and slew rate (30 V/µs) are vastly superior to the LM258's (700 kHz and 0.3 V/µs). Consequently, the LM258 is completely incapable of handling the high-frequency or fast-transient signals for which the original part was specified, leading to severe degradation in bandwidth and dynamic response.
Furthermore, the LM258's input offset voltage (3 mV) is 60 times higher than that of the LT1469 (50 µV). This would introduce unacceptable precision errors in DC or precision amplification applications.
Although the LM258 offers minor advantages in power consumption and output current capability, the significant gap in core speed and accuracy metrics disqualifies it as a substitute for the original part in high-performance applications. It may only be considered for non-critical, low-frequency circuits with minimal requirements for speed and precision.
