1. MCP6021T-E/SN Substitution Conclusion
Not recommended as a direct replacement. Although both devices are package-compatible and feature rail-to-rail outputs, critical differences exist: the MCP6021T is a single-channel op-amp, whereas the original part is dual-channel. Direct substitution would result in loss of circuit functionality, requiring design modifications and the use of two devices. Additionally, its quiescent current (1 mA) is significantly higher than that of the ADA4692-2 (approximately 360 µA total for both channels), which would notably reduce battery life in power-sensitive applications. Furthermore, its output drive capability (30 mA) is lower than the original part’s (55 mA), potentially leading to insufficient performance or increased thermal dissipation when driving low-impedance loads. While the MCP6021T offers advantages in bandwidth (10 MHz) and slew rate (7 V/µs), these generally do not offset the fundamental limitations posed by channel count mismatch, higher power consumption, and reduced output drive.
2. MCP6023T-E/SN Substitution Conclusion
Not recommended as a direct replacement, with the same conclusion as the MCP6021T-E/SN. The MCP6023T shares identical key specifications with the MCP6021T (single-channel, 1 mA quiescent current, 30 mA output current, 10 MHz bandwidth, 7 V/µs slew rate). Consequently, it exhibits the same fundamental differences from the original ADA4692-2ARZ-RL: the channel count is effectively halved, necessitating circuit redesign; quiescent current is substantially higher, making it unsuitable for low-power applications; and output drive capability is reduced. Similarly, it cannot serve as a drop-in replacement without compromising functionality, power efficiency, or load-driving performance.
