1. OPA379AIDBVT Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not generally viable and is only suitable for specific, extremely low-power, low-frequency applications. The OPA379AIDBVT is an ultra-low-power (2.9µA) amplifier whose core differences lie in its very low gain-bandwidth product (90 kHz) and slew rate (0.03V/µs). Its signal processing speed and frequency capability are far inferior to the original part (1.8 MHz, 0.6V/µs), making it unsuitable for any circuit requiring moderate bandwidth or fast transient response. Furthermore, its output drive capability (5 mA) is severely inadequate, being only 1/16th that of the original part (80 mA), and cannot drive similar current loads. This device can only be considered as a substitute option where sacrificing virtually all dynamic performance is acceptable in exchange for minimal power consumption.
