SA3R-03 Substitution Conclusion The SA3R-03 can only serve as a marginal substitute for the original part in low-frequency applications up to 3 GHz, and carries significant performance risks; therefore, substitution is not recommended. The key deviation lies in its frequency range (0–3 GHz), which is substantially narrower than the original part’s 12 GHz. Above 3 GHz, critical parameters such as attenuation and impedance matching (VSWR) will degrade severely. This may lead to a sharp increase in system insertion loss and significant signal reflection, rendering it entirely unsuitable for meeting the original design’s performance requirements at higher frequencies (e.g., C-band, X-band).
2. FMAT1009 Substitution Conclusion The FMAT1009 can be used as a downgraded substitute in mid-frequency applications up to 6 GHz, but it cannot fully replicate the performance of the original part. Compared to the original, its primary limitation is again the frequency range—0–6 GHz versus the original’s 0–12 GHz. In the high-frequency range from 6 GHz to 12 GHz, the performance of this device cannot be guaranteed. It may fail to meet specified attenuation accuracy and will likely exhibit impedance mismatch, resulting in degraded system performance in terms of gain flatness and noise figure at higher frequencies. Thus, it is only suitable for applications where the operating frequency is confirmed not to exceed 6 GHz.
