1. SA6-10 Substitution Conclusion
The SA6-10 can partially substitute the original part FMAT7466-10, but only in applications where the frequency does not exceed 6 GHz. The key difference lies in the frequency range: the SA6-10 supports 0 Hz to 6 GHz, while the original part covers 0 Hz to 12 GHz. For systems operating within 6 GHz, the SA6-10 provides equivalent performance in terms of 10 dB attenuation, 2 W power handling, and 50 Ω impedance. However, above 6 GHz, the SA6-10 may not maintain accurate attenuation values or could introduce additional insertion loss, leading to degraded signal integrity. Consequently, it is unsuitable for high-frequency or broadband applications. A thorough evaluation of the actual frequency requirements is recommended before deciding on the substitution.
2. SA3SR-10 Substitution Conclusion
The SA3SR-10 offers only limited substitution for the original FMAT7466-10, with a narrower applicable range. The primary distinction is the frequency coverage: the SA3SR-10 is limited to 0 Hz to 3 GHz, whereas the original part operates up to 12 GHz. Within 3 GHz, the SA3SR-10 matches the attenuation, power, and impedance characteristics of the original part. However, between 3 GHz and 12 GHz, its performance degrades significantly—it may fail to attenuate signals effectively or introduce reflection issues. Therefore, substitution is only viable in low-frequency scenarios. For high-frequency applications, a full-bandwidth part must be selected to avoid system failure.
