1. SA18H-09 Substitution Conclusion
The SA18H-09 can be used as a substitute for the original SA26B-09 in applications where the operating frequency does not exceed 18 GHz, as both parts share identical key parameters: attenuation (9 dB), power handling (2 W), impedance (50 Ω), and package (SMA In-Line Module). The primary difference lies in the frequency range: the SA18H-09 has an upper frequency limit of 18 GHz, whereas the original part covers up to 26 GHz. This 8 GHz reduction means that within the 18 GHz to 26 GHz band, the SA18H-09 may not provide stable attenuation performance and could introduce signal distortion. Therefore, it is suitable only for low- to mid-frequency systems and is not recommended for high-frequency microwave applications such as millimeter-wave communications or radar testing.
2. FMAT1013 Substitution Conclusion
The FMAT1013 can replace the original SA26B-09 only when the operating frequency is limited to 6 GHz or below, as it matches the original part in attenuation, power rating, impedance, and package. The key deviation is in frequency coverage: the FMAT1013 has a maximum frequency of only 6 GHz, which is 20 GHz lower than the 26 GHz range of the original part. Above 6 GHz—such as in C-band and higher wireless communications or satellite frequency bands—the FMAT1013 will not function properly and may introduce significant performance degradation. Thus, it is suitable solely for low-frequency applications like baseband signal processing or conventional RF systems, and is not appropriate for broadband or high-frequency microwave engineering.
