1. LCAT1000-09 Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not feasible. The key deviation of the LCAT1000-09 lies in its operational frequency range, which is limited to 0–6 GHz, significantly lower than the 0–26 GHz range of the original SA26B-09 part. If signal frequencies in the application exceed 6 GHz, this attenuator will fail to operate correctly, introducing substantial additional insertion loss and signal distortion. This would severely degrade system performance or lead to complete functional failure. Therefore, it is only suitable for low-frequency applications where the full operating band is confirmed to remain below 6 GHz.
2. FMAT7620-9 Substitution Conclusion
Substitution is acceptable within a limited frequency range, provided the system’s upper frequency limit is evaluated. The FMAT7620-9 matches the original part in attenuation value, power handling, and connector interface. However, its frequency range is 0–18 GHz, which is 8 GHz lower than the original part’s 26 GHz upper limit. For applications operating below 18 GHz, it is fully compatible and can be directly interchanged. If the system requires the 18–26 GHz band, this part will become a bottleneck, causing abnormal attenuation of high-frequency signals. Thus, prior to substitution, it is essential to verify that the system’s actual maximum operating frequency does not exceed the 18 GHz limit.
