1. FMAT7467-10 Substitution Conclusion The FMAT7467-10 is not a direct drop-in replacement for the SA3SR-10. While its core electrical specifications—attenuation (10dB), power rating (2W), and impedance (50Ω)—are identical, and its operational frequency range (DC-12GHz) fully covers and exceeds that of the original part (DC-3GHz), a critical mechanical discrepancy exists: the connector gender sequence is reversed. The original SA3SR-10 is configured as "Plug-Jack," whereas the FMAT7467-10 is "Jack-Plug." During installation, this results in opposite orientations of the input/output ports. Consequently, it cannot be inserted directly into the same pair of system ports without employing additional adapters, leading to an unconnected link or necessitating re-cabling. Therefore, direct substitution is not feasible.
2. SA18SS-10 Substitution Conclusion The SA18SS-10 is not a direct drop-in replacement for the SA3SR-10. Although key parameters such as attenuation, power handling, and impedance are the same, and its frequency performance (DC-18GHz) is superior, it utilizes a different connector type. The original part employs standard SMA connectors, while the SA18SS-10 uses the smaller SSMA interface. SSMA and SMA connectors are mechanically incompatible and cannot mate directly. Substitution would require adding SMA-to-SSMA adapters at the system ports. This introduces additional insertion loss, potential impedance mismatch, reliability risks, increased cost, and installation complexity. Thus, it is not a "plug-and-play" replacement solution.
