1. SA6-08 Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not feasible. The core distinction between the SA6-08 and the original SA26B-08 lies in its operational frequency range, which is limited to 0–6 GHz, significantly lower than the original part’s 0–26 GHz. Within the 6 GHz to 26 GHz range, key performance parameters of the SA6-08—including attenuation value, impedance matching (VSWR), and power handling capability—will deviate substantially from their specified ratings. This may lead to system-level issues such as signal distortion, increased reflection (degrading signal integrity), or thermal failure of the device. Substitution may only be considered if the actual application frequency is confirmed to be entirely below 6 GHz; otherwise, unforeseen performance risks will arise.
2. SA18H-08 Substitution Conclusion
Conditional substitution is applicable. The SA18H-08 differs from the original SA26B-08 in its upper frequency limit of 18 GHz, compared to 26 GHz for the original. Within the 18 GHz to 26 GHz high-frequency band, the SA18H-08 cannot guarantee specified attenuation accuracy and impedance matching performance. If the application scenario does not exceed 18 GHz, the SA18H-08 meets requirements in terms of attenuation, power rating, and connector interface, and can serve as a valid substitute. However, if the system operates within the 18–26 GHz range, its performance will degrade, making substitution unsuitable. Prior to substitution, the actual maximum operating frequency of the system must be rigorously verified.
