1. LCAT1001-09 Substitution Conclusion
Substitution is not recommended. The key difference of the LCAT1001-09 lies in its frequency range, which is limited to DC–3 GHz, significantly lower than the original part’s DC–12 GHz. Within the 3 GHz to 12 GHz range, this attenuator cannot guarantee the nominal 9 dB attenuation accuracy, proper impedance matching, or rated power handling. This may lead to signal distortion in the system, increased measurement error, or unstable performance. It is only suitable for low-frequency applications not exceeding 3 GHz and cannot cover the full-band performance of the original part.
2. LCAT1000-09 Substitution Conclusion
Conditional substitution is feasible, but system frequency requirements must be evaluated. The LCAT1000-09 differs from the original part in its upper frequency limit of 6 GHz, compared to 12 GHz for the original. In the high-frequency range from 6 GHz to 12 GHz, its performance—such as attenuation flatness and VSWR—may degrade, making it unsuitable for operation in this band. If your actual application operates within 6 GHz and cost is a concern, the LCAT1000-09 can serve as a downgraded substitute, as it matches the original part in attenuation value, power rating, and connector interface. However, if the system involves signals above 6 GHz, a part covering up to 12 GHz must be selected.
