1. AD8505ARJZ-R2 Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not suitable. The fundamental difference between the AD8505 and the original OPA330 lies in their amplifier type (standard precision vs. zero-drift) and the resulting DC precision performance, which disqualifies the AD8505 in applications demanding high accuracy. The key discrepancy is the input offset voltage (500 µV vs. 8 µV). The initial error and the drift over temperature and time for the AD8505 will be more than two orders of magnitude greater than the OPA330's. This directly introduces significant DC error, completely forfeiting the core advantage of a zero-drift amplifier: the elimination of 1/f noise and long-term drift. While the AD8505 offers a stronger output drive current (45 mA) and a marginally lower quiescent current (15µA), these benefits cannot compensate for the fatal precision shortcomings in core applications such as precision sensor signal conditioning and high-accuracy measurement.
2. ADA4505-1ARJZ-R2 Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is entirely unsuitable. The ADA4505-1 exhibits substantial gaps in both key precision and dynamic performance parameters compared to the original OPA330, as it is designed for a completely different application space (ultra-low power, low frequency). The differences include a vastly higher input bias current (500 nA vs. 200 pA) and a significantly lower gain bandwidth product / slew rate (50 kHz / 0.006V/µs vs. 350 kHz / 0.16V/µs). An input bias current thousands of times larger will generate unacceptable offset voltage errors in circuits with high source impedance. Meanwhile, the extremely low bandwidth and slew rate severely limit signal bandwidth and transient response speed, preventing it from handling the moderate-bandwidth signals the OPA330 can manage. Although its quiescent current (9µA) is the lowest, this is only valuable in scenarios with extreme power sensitivity and absolutely no requirements for precision or speed.
