1. OPA827AIDGKR Substitution Conclusion The OP1177ARMZ-REEL is not a direct substitute for the OPA827AIDGKR, as the two differ significantly in key performance parameters. Compatibility is marginal and only conceivable in extremely low-power, low-frequency applications where high speed and high input impedance are not required. The primary differences are as follows: First, the OPA827’s gain bandwidth product (22 MHz) and slew rate (28 V/µs) far exceed those of the OP1177 (1.3 MHz, 0.7 V/µs). The OP1177 would introduce severe distortion or insufficient bandwidth in high-speed signal or fast transient response scenarios. Second, the OPA827 employs a J-FET input stage with very low input bias current (15 pA), whereas the OP1177 is a standard amplifier with 500 pA input bias current. The latter is unsuitable for precision circuits sensitive to input current, such as those interfacing with high-impedance sensors. Third, there is a substantial difference in quiescent current: the OPA827 draws 4.8 mA, while the OP1177 consumes only 400 µA. This reflects the OP1177’s design focus on low power at the expense of dynamic performance. Unless the application strictly demands low frequency, low precision, and prioritizes power consumption above all else, substituting with the OP1177 will degrade system performance or cause functional failure.
