1. FMAT1010 Substitution Conclusion
The FMAT1010 can serve as a replacement for the original part LCAT1005-03, but only in low-frequency applications below 6 GHz. The key difference lies in the frequency range (0–6 GHz vs. 0–18 GHz). Beyond 6 GHz and up to 18 GHz, this attenuator cannot guarantee performance specifications such as attenuation accuracy and VSWR. If the system operates above 6 GHz, signal distortion or increased reflection may occur. Therefore, the actual operating frequency band must be strictly evaluated before substitution.
2. FMAT7466-3 Substitution Conclusion
The FMAT7466-3 can partially replace the original part LCAT1005-03 and is suitable for mid-to-high frequency applications up to 12 GHz. Although its frequency range (0–12 GHz) is better than that of the FMAT1010, it still does not cover the original part’s full 18 GHz range. Performance will degrade in the 12–18 GHz band. If the system’s maximum frequency does not exceed 12 GHz, this part is compatible in terms of power handling, impedance, and interface. However, verification of attenuation flatness and VSWR near the upper frequency limit is required to ensure it meets system requirements.
