1. SA3R-03 Substitution Conclusion
Within applications strictly limited to a maximum operating frequency of 3 GHz, the SA3R-03 can serve as a functional substitute for the LCAT1005-03; otherwise, substitution is not viable. The core distinction lies in the SA3R-03's bandwidth (DC-3 GHz), which is significantly narrower than the original part's DC-18 GHz range. The SA3R-03 cannot maintain its specified attenuation accuracy and impedance matching at frequencies above 3 GHz (e.g., in the C, X, and Ku bands). If the system frequency extends beyond its operational range, unpredictable insertion loss and signal reflection will be introduced, leading to degraded system performance or outright failure.
2. FMAT1009 Substitution Conclusion
For applications explicitly restricted to a maximum operating frequency of 6 GHz, the FMAT1009 can function as a substitute for the LCAT1005-03; however, it is not a suitable replacement for full-bandwidth (DC-18 GHz) applications. The key difference again is frequency range. While the FMAT1009's DC-6 GHz bandwidth is superior to that of the SA3R-03, it still represents only one-third of the original part's capability. In the high-frequency range from 6 GHz to 18 GHz, its attenuation value may deviate from the nominal 3dB, and its Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) will degrade. This compromises high-frequency signal integrity and measurement accuracy, rendering it unsuitable for broadband or high-frequency systems.
