The FMAT1010 differs from the original part in that its frequency range is limited to DC–6 GHz, whereas the original part covers DC–18 GHz. In the 6 GHz to 18 GHz band, the FMAT1010 will either fail to operate or introduce unpredictable insertion loss and impedance mismatch, severely degrading or disabling system performance at higher frequencies—such as signal integrity and measurement accuracy. This component is suitable only for applications where the operating frequency is definitively below 6 GHz and cannot serve as a full-bandwidth replacement.
2. FMAT7466-3 Substitution Conclusion Substitution is conditionally acceptable, subject to verification of the system’s upper frequency limit. The key difference between the FMAT7466-3 and the original part is its frequency range of DC–12 GHz, which is lower than the original’s 18 GHz upper limit. For applications operating within 12 GHz, its performance—including attenuation accuracy and VSWR—is comparable to the original and substitution is viable. However, for any system handling signals in the 12 GHz to 18 GHz range, this part is unsuitable and would lead to degraded high-frequency performance.
