1. SA3R-03 Substitution Conclusion Direct substitution is not feasible, and applicability is severely limited. The most critical difference between the SA3R-03 and the original part lies in its operating frequency range, which is only 0–3 GHz—significantly lower than the original’s 0–18 GHz. Above 3 GHz, the attenuator’s attenuation will deviate substantially from the nominal 3 dB, accompanied by a sharp increase in insertion loss and degraded voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR). This compromises signal integrity and measurement accuracy, restricting its use exclusively to low-frequency systems operating entirely below 3 GHz.
2. FMAT1009 Substitution Conclusion Conditional substitution is possible, subject to system frequency evaluation. The FMAT1009 also differs from the original part in frequency range, supporting 0–6 GHz. While this is an improvement over the SA3R-03, it still represents only one-third of the original part’s 18 GHz capability. If the application or test frequency exceeds 6 GHz, this device cannot provide stable and accurate 3 dB attenuation, leading to high-frequency signal distortion and measurement errors. It may serve as an alternative only in systems operating below 6 GHz and is unsuitable for broadband or high-frequency applications.
