1. BA-2SBT Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not recommended. While the switch is compatible in terms of circuit form (SPDT), switching function (On-Mom), mounting style (baseplate mount), and terminal type (screw terminals), and even offers higher ratings for current (20A) and mechanical life (20 million cycles), two critical mismatches preclude a drop-in replacement. First, the actuator type changes from a lever roller to an over-travel plunger. This represents a fundamentally different mechanical interface and actuation method, which may prevent proper installation or reliable triggering within the existing assembly. Second, the operating force increases dramatically from 158gf to a minimum of 624gf—a nearly fourfold increase. The original actuating mechanism is highly likely to lack sufficient torque or force to operate the switch reliably. Implementing this substitution would require significant mechanical redesign of the application, not a simple in-situ replacement.
2. BZ-2RDS725551-A2 Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is strictly prohibited. Although this model is comparable in mechanical life, mounting style, and certain dimensional parameters (e.g., operating position), and offers the advantage of an IP64 environmental rating, it suffers from an order-of-magnitude mismatch in its most critical parameter: current-carrying capacity. The original part is rated for 15A, whereas this substitute is rated for only 1A. In applications where the original design may handle higher currents—such as driving motors, heaters, or similar loads—using this substitute would cause rapid overheating and catastrophic failure of the switch contacts. This poses a severe safety hazard and reliability risk. The mismatch in current rating constitutes a fundamental and insurmountable difference in electrical parameters, rendering this model entirely unsuitable for substitution.
