1. AD8028ARZ-REEL Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not feasible. The AD8028 significantly outperforms the ALD2704 in speed (bandwidth of 190 MHz vs. 2.1 MHz, slew rate of 100 V/µs vs. 5 V/µs) and output drive capability (120 mA vs. 15 mA). However, the most critical distinction lies in the input architecture: the AD8028's input bias current (4 µA) is several orders of magnitude higher than the CMOS-level input bias current of the ALD2704 (1 pA). Consequently, the AD8028 is entirely unsuitable for circuits with high-impedance signal sources, precision integrators, or any application extremely sensitive to input current. Additionally, its lower minimum operating voltage (2.7V vs. 6.5V for the ALD2704) may introduce potential stability concerns in the original higher-voltage supply design. A direct replacement with the AD8028 will cause circuit failure or severe performance degradation in designs relying on the ALD2704's ultra-low input current characteristics.
2. AD8028ARZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
Direct substitution is not feasible, with the conclusion being identical to that for the AD8028ARZ-REEL. The AD8028ARZ-REEL7 and AD8028ARZ-REEL are the same chip part in different packaging formats (typically, REEL7 indicates a 7-inch reel, while REEL indicates a 13-inch reel). Their electrical parameters and performance specifications are completely identical. The core differences from the original part, the ALD2704ASAL, remain the same: a vastly higher input bias current (4 µA vs. 1 pA). This fundamental discrepancy precludes its use in applications requiring the near-zero input current characteristic of a CMOS op-amp. Furthermore, its high-speed performance may induce oscillations in the original low-speed design. A direct substitution would alter the circuit's fundamental input behavior and is only viable for applications that do not rely on low input bias current and can tolerate higher power dissipation and noise.
