1. AD8512BRZ-REEL7 Substitution Conclusion
Substitution is partially viable, but critical parameter matching must be considered. The AD8512 shares a fundamental J-FET input dual op-amp architecture with the original part, providing a basis for direct replacement due to matching slew rate (20 V/µs) and package (8-SOIC). However, key differences exist: its input bias current (25 pA vs. 0.3 pA) is two orders of magnitude higher, which could introduce significant error in applications extremely sensitive to input current, such as high-impedance sensor interfaces or integrators. Its gain-bandwidth product (8 MHz vs. 12.5 MHz) is lower, limiting usable gain in high-frequency, small-signal amplification. Furthermore, its supply voltage range (10-30V vs. 9-40V) is narrower, restricting use in higher-voltage or single 9V supply scenarios. Substitution is acceptable if the application is not stringent on input current and supply voltage requirements, and sufficient bandwidth margin exists.
2. LM258DG4 Substitution Conclusion
Substitution is generally not feasible and is suitable only for applications with extremely low performance requirements. The LM258 is a general-purpose bipolar-input dual op-amp, fundamentally different in architecture (vs. the original J-FET type), resulting in substantial performance gaps: its input bias current (20 nA) is nearly 100 million times higher, and its input offset voltage (3 mV) is an order of magnitude greater, leading to severe precision loss in精密放大 or high-impedance signal conditioning. Its gain-bandwidth product (1.1 MHz) and slew rate (0.3 V/µs) are far inferior to the original part, rendering it incapable of handling medium/high-frequency signals or fast transients. Its sole advantages are very low power consumption and a wide supply range (3-32V). Consider this substitute only if the application involves DC or very low-frequency signal amplification with no requirements for accuracy or speed.
