1. TLV2372IDGKR Substitution Conclusion The TLV2372IDGKR can serve as a high-performance upgrade replacement for the AD8546ARMZ-R7, provided the system can accommodate its significantly higher power consumption. The key differences are that the TLV2372 offers a gain bandwidth product (3 MHz vs. 200 kHz) and a slew rate (2.1 V/µs vs. 0.08 V/µs) more than an order of magnitude greater than the original part, enabling it to handle higher-frequency and faster-changing signals with substantially improved dynamic performance. However, its quiescent current per channel (750 µA vs. 18 µA) also increases by over 40 times. This is a critical trade-off that must be carefully evaluated for battery-powered or low-power designs, as it directly leads to a significant reduction in battery life or an increase in thermal dissipation.
2. TLV2402IDGKRG4 Substitution Conclusion The TLV2402IDGKRG4 is not a suitable general-purpose, drop-in replacement for the AD8546ARMZ-R7. Its use should be confined to specific applications with extreme low-power requirements and very low signal frequencies. While it offers advantages in ultra-low-power operation—with a lower input offset voltage (390 µV) and a quiescent current (900 nA per channel) only 1/20th that of the original part (18 µA per channel)—its core limitations are decisive. These include an extremely low bandwidth (gain bandwidth product of 5.5 kHz vs. 200 kHz) and a very slow slew rate (0.0025 V/µs vs. 0.08 V/µs), rendering it ineffective at processing AC signals above a few hundred Hertz with a sluggish response. Furthermore, its output current capability (200 µA) is far inferior to the original's (12 mA), making it nearly incapable of driving any circuit with a meaningful load. Collectively, these differences restrict its applicability to ultra-low-power systems processing very low-frequency or DC signals, resulting in a very narrow range of suitable applications.
