1. SA6-10 Substitution Conclusion
Substitution is not recommended. The SA6-10 differs from the original FMAT7620-10 part in that its frequency range is limited to 0–6 GHz, significantly lower than the original's 0–18 GHz. The SA6-10 is only guaranteed to provide the nominal 10 dB attenuation and good impedance matching within the 0–6 GHz band. If the operating frequency exceeds 6 GHz, key performance parameters such as attenuation accuracy and VSWR will degrade significantly or even fail. Consequently, it is unsuitable for any application within the microwave band (6–18 GHz) covered by the original part.
2. FMAT7466-10 Substitution Conclusion
Conditional substitution is feasible. The primary difference between the FMAT7466-10 and the original FMAT7620-10 is its upper frequency limit of 12 GHz, compared to 18 GHz. Across the broad 0–12 GHz frequency band, it provides identical attenuation, power handling, and impedance performance to the original part and can serve as a direct replacement. However, for systems operating within the 12–18 GHz band, its performance will not meet specifications. Therefore, the viability of substitution depends entirely on whether the actual application circuit's maximum operating frequency is ≤12 GHz.
