1. LCAT1001-10 Substitution Conclusion
The LCAT1001-10 is not a direct substitute for the FMAT7620-10. The key difference lies in its frequency range, which is limited to 0–3 GHz—significantly narrower than the original part’s 0–18 GHz. In applications exceeding 3 GHz (such as C-band, X-band, Ku-band, and other common microwave bands), the attenuation value of this attenuator will deviate substantially from the nominal 10 dB. Moreover, insertion loss and VSWR performance will degrade noticeably, compromising signal integrity and power level control across the RF link. Consequently, it cannot meet the requirements of broadband systems.
2. LCAT1000-10 Substitution Conclusion
The LCAT1000-10 can conditionally replace the FMAT7620-10, provided the system operates at frequencies no higher than 6 GHz. The primary distinction remains the frequency range (0–6 GHz versus 0–18 GHz). Below 6 GHz, the LCAT1000-10 delivers attenuation accuracy and matching performance comparable to the original part. However, for any circuit operating between 6 GHz and 18 GHz, its performance cannot be guaranteed. This may result in insufficient high-frequency attenuation and increased reflection. Therefore, it is only suitable for specific mid-to-low frequency applications (such as cellular communications and Wi-Fi 2.4/5 GHz) and is not recommended for broader bandwidths or general-purpose testing across unknown frequency bands.
