However, there are critical differences in switching times: its faster turn-on (200 ns vs. 350 ns) benefits high-speed startup, but its significantly slower turn-off (600 ns vs. 300 ns) can create switching asymmetry, potentially degrading performance in high-frequency or fast-switching applications. Additionally, the HCPL-4503-320E comes in an 8-DIP Gull Wing package, while the original is an 8-SMD type, making them physically incompatible and requiring PCB redesign or adaptation. Although the electrical parameters are largely similar, the slower turn-off time and package mismatch limit direct substitution.
