1. Conclusion on BU7266FVM-TR Substitution
Direct substitution is not recommended. The BU7266FVM-TR is an ultra-low-power, low-bandwidth CMOS operational amplifier. While its extremely low quiescent current (700nA) and input bias current (1pA) are superior to the original part for battery life and high-impedance sensor signal acquisition, its core dynamic performance metrics are significantly inferior. Its gain bandwidth product (4 kHz) and slew rate (0.0024 V/µs) are 2-3 orders of magnitude lower than those of the LMV358 (1 MHz, 1 V/µs). This device is completely incapable of handling any mid-frequency or fast-changing signals. It is suitable only for DC or ultra-low-frequency applications (e.g., <100 Hz) where speed is not a requirement. Substitution would result in severely insufficient circuit bandwidth and major signal waveform distortion.
2. Conclusion on BU7486FVM-TR Substitution
Substitution is viable in applications where the voltage range (3V-5.5V) is met and minimal power consumption is not critical, but key performance differences must be noted. The BU7486FVM-TR is a high-performance CMOS op-amp whose gain bandwidth product (10 MHz) and slew rate (10 V/µs) far exceed those of the LMV358, enabling better handling of high-frequency signals and fast transients. Its extremely low input bias current (1pA) also helps minimize errors from high-impedance sources. However, its quiescent current (6mA) is over 14 times higher than that of the LMV358 (~0.42mA), which will significantly increase system power draw and shorten battery life. Furthermore, its output drive capability (12mA) is weaker than the original part's (160mA), preventing it from directly driving heavier loads. This substitution is appropriate for applications requiring higher speed and lower input current, where higher power consumption and limited output current are acceptable trade-offs.
