1. AD8510ARZ-REEL Substitution Conclusion Overall feasible, but with one key limitation. The AD8510 fully matches the OPA134 in core dynamic performance (slew rate of 20 V/µs, gain-bandwidth product of 8 MHz) and maximum supply voltage (36 V), while offering stronger output drive capability (70 mA). The difference lies in its slightly higher input bias current (25 pA vs. 5 pA), which is negligible for the vast majority of audio applications. The most critical constraint is its minimum operating voltage of 9 V, compared to the OPA134’s capability down to 5 V. If the original design operates from a single 5 V or below ±2.5 V supply, the AD8510 cannot be directly substituted. Otherwise, in systems with a supply voltage ≥9 V, it is a performance-equivalent or superior alternative.
2. LT1792IS8PBF Substitution Conclusion Not recommended as a direct replacement. Although it is also a JFET-input op-amp and package-compatible, its core performance parameters differ significantly: slew rate (3.4 V/µs) and gain-bandwidth product (5.6 MHz) are notably lower than those of the OPA134 (20 V/µs, 8 MHz). This results in slower response when handling high-frequency or large-amplitude signals, potentially limiting full-power bandwidth and increasing distortion. Additionally, its input bias current (300 pA) is much higher than that of the OPA134 (5 pA), which can introduce greater DC error and noise in high-impedance audio circuits such as microphone preamplifiers. Unless the application has very low bandwidth and speed requirements, the risk of performance degradation is high.
