1. LM7322QMA/NOPB Substitution Conclusion
The LM7322QMA/NOPB is pin-compatible and functionally equivalent to the ADA4084-2ARZ-RL, making it a direct drop-in replacement. However, several key performance differences exist: the LM7322 offers a higher slew rate (18 V/µs vs. 4.6 V/µs) and higher output current (100 mA vs. 30 mA), making it better suited for higher-frequency applications or those requiring heavy load driving. Its wider supply range (2.5–32 V) and automotive-grade qualification (AEC-Q100) also enhance its suitability for harsh operating environments.
On the other hand, the LM7322 exhibits significantly higher input bias current (1.1 µA vs. 140 nA) and input offset voltage (700 µV vs. 30 µV), which may introduce greater error in precision measurement or high-impedance signal applications. Its quiescent current is also higher (2.5 mA/ch vs. 625 µA/ch), leading to increased power consumption.
If the application demands high precision and low power, substitution should be approached with caution. If higher speed, stronger drive capability, or automotive-grade reliability are required, and some trade-off in accuracy and power consumption is acceptable, then the replacement is viable.
