1. BA3472F-E2 Substitution Conclusion
Not recommended as a direct substitute. While both are dual op-amps with identical bandwidth and overlapping supply voltage ranges, a fundamental difference in core amplifier architecture leads to critical performance disparities. The BA3472F-E2 employs a standard bipolar input stage, resulting in an input bias current (100 nA) that is 2000 times higher than the original J-FET input TL082 (50 pA). In applications involving high-impedance signal sources, integrators, or charge amplifiers, this will generate significant error currents, rendering it incapable of maintaining the original circuit's precision. Furthermore, while its wider minimum operating voltage (3V) is an advantage, its superior input offset voltage (1.5 mV) is negated by the excessively high bias current. Its slew rate (10V/µs) is also marginally lower. Substitution is only viable if the circuit has extremely low input impedance requirements and bias current is not a concern.
2. TL082AIYDT Substitution Conclusion
This is an excellent direct replacement and upgrade option. As an automotive-grade product within the same J-FET input family, it meets or exceeds all key parameters of the original part. It features a lower input bias current (20 pA vs. 50 pA) and a higher slew rate (16V/µs vs. 13V/µs), preserving the inherent high input impedance and low input current characteristics while offering improved transient response capability. Its quiescent current per channel (1.4mA) is significantly lower, contributing to reduced system power consumption. Furthermore, it is AEC-Q100 qualified, offering far superior reliability, temperature range, and long-term stability compared to commercial-grade components. Its supply range (6V to 36V) fully covers the original specification, and it is pin-for-pin and package compatible, allowing for a direct drop-in replacement that enhances both system performance and reliability.
